| Comments |
This virus is a good immunogen in rabbit and horse. There are no cross-reactions with 37 prototypes by serum neutralization (SN) and hemagglutination inhibition (HAI). This strain is related to the Tak strain as indicated by SN and HAI. At low titer, the virus hemagglutinates rat red blood cells (RBC). It does not hemagglutinate rhesus monkey or human type O RBC. The virus is stable at -20°C. |
| Effect on Host |
CPE, refractile rounding, clustering and sloughing |

293 (ATCC® CRL-1573) |
| Growth Conditions |
Temperature: 37°C
Recommendations For Infection: For best results, cells should be 24 to 48 hours old and 70-80% confluent (not 100% confluent)
