Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI--3.0, 2.8; EcoRI/XmnI--2.8, 1.9, 1.0; ClaI--5.0, 0.6; HincII--3.9, 1.75. Partial sequencing of the ends of this clone matched exactly GenBank accession J03928. Contains the complete coding sequence, with 55 bp 5' untranslated and 3' sequence extending to the poly(A) tail. New sequence information for the ambiguous nucleotides in the GenBank record identify an ApaI site. Oriented with the 5' end closer to the T3 primer. Intact insert can be separated from the vector by an EcoRI/XmnI digest. |
