Restriction digests analyzed on agarose gels give the following sizes (kb): BamHI--8.7; HindIII--8.7.
There is some instability of the insert during growth if not propagated correctly.
This a helper bacteriophage for production of single-stranded DNA from plasmids containing M13 intergenic region which preferentially packages single-stranded plasmid DNA over phage DNA.
