Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI/HindIII--3.7, 3.2; BglI--7.0; PvuII--7.0. Probe for detecting mycoplasma-like DNA in infected plants. Derived from chromosomal DNA. Hybridizes with nucleic acid from the following MLOs: tomato big bud (BB), periwinkle little leaf (CN1), Italian tomato big bud (BBIta), maize bushy stunt (MBS), potato witches' broom (PWB), clover phyllody (CPh), clover proliferation (CP), ash yellows (AA), Western X disease (WX), Canada X disease (CX), and unknown (CN13, CN13G, CN13W). Does not hybridize to aster yellows (AY), vinca virescence (VR), or elm yellows (EY). |
