Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): PstI--4.7, 3.8; HindIII--9.2; BamHI--9.2; XbaI--6.6, 2.0; EcoRI/HindIII--2.9, 1.7, 1.3, 1.15, 0.85, 0.48; consistent with deposited DNA. The structure of this plasmid is not consistent with the published description of pCMM8. The hybridization pattern of this probe with human DNA was not checked by the ATCC. Codominant segregation was observed in 52 three-generation families. Isolated from the cosmid cCMM8 detected with the myoglobin-2 oligonucleotide. Enzyme(s) not detecting polymorphism: HindIII. |
