Comments
Type B
The presence of cpa, cpb, etx, cpb2, and pfoA genes was confirmed by PCR (assay 2, 3).
Produces hemolysins, lethal toxins, phospholipase C, and lecithinase C.
In 24 to 48 hours, growth is evident by turbidity and gas formation in the broth and by colonies on the anaerobic agar surfaces. No growth will occur on agar plate incubated aerobically.
