Ono (AB6) These strains were developed primarily for mapping UAA and UAG suppressors, choosing markers that are approximately 30 cM apart. cdc strains are temperature-sensitive; they grow at 23C but not at 36C. pet strains are unable to grow on non-fermentable substrates. gal strains may turn yellow. ade1 strains turn red when present as the sole adenine mutation in the strain. |
