Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): PstI--4.37, 1.8, 0.5; HindIII--6.8; EcoRI--6.8; BamHI--6.8; HindIII/EcoRI--4.37, 2.3. This probe is localized proximal to CMM65 (D16S84) and distal to the breakpoint in GM2324 t(16;22) (p13.3;q21). Minor variations were detected in the allele fragment sizes, indicating this probe may be located close to a VNTR. Contains two PstI fragments subcloned from cosmid 218. The 1.7 kb fragment detects the RFLP. Also contains some mouse DNA. Enzyme(s) not detecting polymorphism: HindIII, SacI. |
