West Nile virus |
| Strain |
Monoclonal antibody to West Nile virus Envelope Protein, Clone E101 (produced in vitro) |
| Common Name |
West Nile virus |
| Applications |
Mouse monoclonal antibody prepared against the envelope glycoprotein of West Nile virus (WNV) was purified from clone E101 hybridoma supernatant by protein G affinity chromatography. The antibody is reported to be reactive using flow cytometry and Western blot analysis. Emerging infectious disease research |
| Biosafety Level |
1
Biosafety classification is based on U.S. Public Health Service Guidelines, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that their facilities comply with biosafety regulations for their own country. |
| Isolation |
Mouse monoclonal antibody prepared against the envelope glycoprotein of West Nile virus (WNV) was purified from clone E101 hybridoma supernatant by protein G affinity chromatography. The B cell hybridoma was generated by the fusion of P3X63.Ag8.53 BALB/c mouse myeloma cells with immunized mouse splenocytes. The clone E101 antibody is reported to bind to the lateral ridge of domain I in the envelope glycoprotein. |
| Product Format |
frozen Each vial of VR-1640 contains approximately 100 µL of purified monoclonal antibody in PBS. |
| Storage Conditions |
?Store at -20°C or colder immediately upon arrival Repeated freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided |
| Comments |
Antibody Class: IgG2aκ Mouse monoclonal antibody prepared against the envelope glycoprotein of West Nile virus (WNV) was purified from clone E101 hybridoma supernatant by protein G affinity chromatography. The B cell hybridoma was generated by the fusion of P3X63.Ag8.53 BALB/c mouse myeloma cells with immunized mouse splenocytes. The clone E101 antibody is reported to bind to the lateral ridge of domain I in the envelope glycoprotein. Functional activity is confirmed by reactivity in immunofluorescence assays using Vero cells (ATCC CCL-81) infected with WNV and by ELISA using WNV-infected cell lysates [WNV, Eg101 (Egypt 1951)]. The antibody is reported to be reactive using flow cytometry and Western blot analysis. |
