Animals were immunized with immunopurified human CR3. Ref Robinson MK, et al. Antibody against the Leu-CAM beta-chain (CD18) promotes both LFA-1- and CR3-dependent adhesion events

Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0 myeloma cells. |

KIM127 stimulates homotypic aggregation by a CD11 pathway in the human B lymphoblastoid cell line, JY.
The antibody recognizes a temperature-sensitive epitope that is not dependent on the presence of divalent cations. Ref Robinson MK, et al. Antibody against the Leu-CAM beta-chain (CD18) promotes both LFA-1- and CR3-dependent adhesion events
. J. Immunol. 148: 1080-1085, 1992. PubMed: 1371129
The antibody recognizes an epitope distinct from the KIM185 (ATCC CRL-2839) antibody. |
| Subculturing |
Shake off attached cells and scrape if necessary.
Cultures can be maintained by addition of fresh medium. Alternatively, cultures can be established by centrifugation with subsequent resuspension at 3 x 104 to 5 x 104 viable cells/mL. Maintain cultures at a cell concentration between 8 x 104 and 5 x 105 cells/mL.
Medium Renewal: Add fresh medium every 2 to 3 days (depending on cell density). |
