A unique sequence fragment of 1.8 kb is released by PstI/HindIII double digestion. Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): PstI/HindIII--3.7, 1.8, 1.25, 0.76; PstI--3.9, 2.0, 1.85; HindIII--4.8, 3.5; BamHI--8.5; SalI--8.5. This is a transcribed sequence which shows homology to chromosome 5 (5.5 kb HindIII fragment) and chromosome Y (9 and 14 kb HindIII fragments) in addition to the 3.5 kb HindIII fragment on X. |
