ATCC® VR-1492PQ™ is a high-titer, purified, live virus suspended in 10 mM Tris-HCL (pH 7.5) with 135 mM NaCl, 0.5% BSA, and 5% Trehalose. This product was prepared from ATCC® VR-1492™ via purification by tangential filtration.
This EBV preparation is capable of transforming B-lymphocytes from a preparation of normal human lymphocytes when co-cultivated with a feed layer culture (such as ATCC® 55-X™).
Quality control testing is done by transformation assay instead of TCID50.
Temperature: 37°C
Recommendations for Infection: This EBV preparation is capable of transforming B-lymphocytes from a preparation of normal human lymphocytes when co-cultivated with a feed layer culture (such as ATCC® 55-X™).
Incubation: 10-25 days at 37°C in a humidified 5% CO2 atmosphere, until indicators of successful transformation appear.
