Biosafety classification is based on U.S. Public Health Service Guidelines, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that their facilities comply with biosafety regulations for their own country.
Cultures can be maintained by addition of fresh medium. Alternatively, cultures can be established by centrifugation with subsequent resuspension in fresh medium. Cultures grow as floating aggregates of round cell clusters and attached epithelial-like cells. Attached cells can be subcultured using 0.25% Trypsin-0.53 mM EDTA. Cultures may lose viability when the aggregates are broken down. Accordingly, cell counts are not performed while expanding the CRL-5892™ cell line.
Subcultivation Ratio: A subcultivation ratio of 1:3 to 1:10 is recommended
