Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI/PstI--2.8, 0.45, 0.17; EcoRI/HindIII--2.8, 0.58; KpnI--3.3; EcoRI--3.3; HindIII--3.3; EcoRI/SalI--3.3; SalI--uncut. The BglII, PstI, and BamHI polymorphisms all have the same allele segregation pattern, suggesting a single mutational event.
