A general purpose plasmid vector for use in complementation analysis with vectors having a ColE1 or pMB1 origin of replication. Constructed by M.G. Jobling. pK184 consists of bases 2092-2661/0-1177 of pK18 and bases 1520-836 of pACYC184. There are 2 XbaI sites in the plasmid. pK184 (ATCC 37766) and pK194 (ATCC 37767) have the multiple cloning sites in opposite orientations, interrupting the lacZalpha coding sequence. |
