| Comments |
The lacZ cassette can be excised with either BamHI or SalI. This plasmid is suitable for the study of eukaryotic expression. It contains a functional lacZ gene without any regulatory elements. The lacZ gene is a BamHI fragment from pMC1871 and is lacking 8 non-essential N-terminal amino acids. Linkers provide an inframe ATG and new unique BamHI and SalI sites on both ends of the lacZ fragment. |
