Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): PstI--3.0, 1.5; PstI/PvuII--2.5, 0.8, 0.7, 0.3, 0.2; EcoRI--3.3, 1.2; BamHI--4.5. The 1.5 kb insert contains the cauliflower mosaic virus 35S RNA promoter and the nopaline synthase terminator. A PstI/PvuII digest yields an approximately 800 bp band containing the N gene ORF. |
