Colonies after 3 days on YM agar at 25°C are cream-colored, flat to umbonate, semi-dull to glistening, smooth or wrinkled. Cells are ovoid, 3-4 x 5-8 μm, single or in pairs. Long, elongated cells are sometimes produced.
