The cDNA detects a single genomic HindIII fragment (8.8 kb), a doublet of EcoRI fragments (4.3 kb) and several TaqI, PvuII, BamHI, and BclI fragments.
The insert contains a complete open reading frame of 1212 nucleotides, one nucleotide 5' untranslated (C), and 61 nucleotides 3' untranslated followed by AAAAA.
The vector is a derivative of pcD with added restriction sites (BamHI, XmaI SmaI KpnI SacI) and a T3 promoter 3' of the insert site.
When excised with BamHI, the insert will contain 5' and 3' vector sequences. The BamHI sites are at positions 414 and 541 of the vector and the PstI site is at 505.
