Store DMSO at 2°C to 8°C when not in use. It may be solid at this temperature. However, it may also be stored at room temperature where it remains a liquid.

Applications
DMSO is used as a cyroprotectant for the cryopreservation of cell lines. ATCC DMSO is cell culture grade and has been tested to assure nontoxicity and sterility.

Quality Control Specifications
Bulk material from each lot has been tested on ATCC cell lines to insure it is nontoxic when used at concentrations of 10% or less. Bulk material from each lot is also tested before dispensing for contamination by bacteria or fungi.
