Contains a functional cDNA for cytoplasmic thymidine kinase which is close to full length.

pMTK4 detects genomic HindIII fragments of 23 kb and 4.7 kb in C57BL/10J, C3H/HeJ, A/HeJ, and BALB/cJ mice. It also detects 9.3 kb and 3.7 kb fragments also present in Ltk- cells, suggesting the latter are not functional cytosolic Tk genes.
