Vector contains EBV oriP and EBNA-1 to ensure replication in absence of EBNA. Maintained as episomes as 2-10 copies per lymphoblastoid cell; stable as long as selection is applied.
J107 cells were transformed with DNA from the T-lymphoma JM cell line. DNA from secondary transfectants was used to isolate the clone.
