Comments
Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): PstI--3.65; BamHI--3.65; EcoRI--3.0, 0.9; HindIII--3.65; SalI--3.65.
MYF3 is the human homolog of MyoD1; showing approximately 90% amino acid sequence homology.
A cDNA clone for human MYOD1 has been shown to detect HindIII fragments of 2.6 kb in the mouse, 1.5 kb in the hamster, and 7.0 kb in humans.
This is not a full-length clone, and encodes the carboxy-terminal portion of the protein and includes the 3' coding sequences. It includes nucleotides 595-1415; coding sequences end at 801.
This clone detects a genomic EcoRI fragment of 7.5 kb and a mRNA of about 1.8 kb.
